Objetivo

JOB’S DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the selected person will be responsible for Intermón Oxfam’s humanitarian response for Logistics in case of crises and emergencies.

The person’s key functions will be:

- To manage and oversee the human resources and materials in the logistics area.
- To participate in the strategy development, evaluation, preparation, planning and responding to emergencies and projects implementation.
- To cooperate in the emergencies start up to ensure the quality and fast response in the intervention.
- To offer training and monitoring to the team in the assigned area of intervention.
- To follow up reporting and to update the material registers.
- Management of the vehicle fleet, including the drivers.
- Support activities to the main office projects in Humanitarian Action.
- To ensure the facilities, the training and the guidelines of the communication systems.
- To strengthen Intermón Oxfam’s technical skills in logistics in the countries, both for the existing IO project team or for the identified partners.

WORK CONDITIONS

- Contract of employment: Contract for 1 year by Intermon Oxfam.
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance and children’ benefit.
- Working place: Barcelona, Spain (80% on the field)

Perfil:

PROFILE REQUIRED

- A minimum experience of 1 year in Humanitarian projects, especially in Logistics focused responsibilities. Indispensable 1 emergency mission.
- Education in Logistics will be valued.
- Management experience in vehicle fleet, purchasing and supply, storage and communication equipment.
- Languages: Spanish, English, French (two languages are required). Portuguese will be also valued.
- Availability, without any warning, at any time and in any country for the amount of time thought to be necessary for travelling/ stays on field (it is estimated that 80% of the time will be spent on the field).
- Results orientated and organisational capacity.
- Team work and collaboration.
- High flexibility and adaptation to changes.
